Hi All

I have another couple of recordings to share

The first is recorded on the walnut/redwood OOO

Walnut Redwood 000

The Second is on the European Spruce/London Plane O Sized Guitar. Which is based on a Martin New Yorker but known as a Londoner because it has a pearly queen theme.

London Plane/European Spruce

Thought some of you might find it interesting to hear the difference in the two tops.

Awesome sound comin' out of these guitars Russell, but honestly, my novice's ears couldn't tell the difference between 'em, since everything i've owned so far has less sound than them. To me they sound clear and i feel that if pushed a bit more by Mr Kilpatrick, it would be heaven!

Howdy Russell,

They sound quite similar to me as well. Perhaps it's that the two tunes share similarities? Truthfully, I liked the Redwood a bit more, it seemed to have more bottom end and also more head room. Loved the sound!

Very nice, I very much appreciate the effort it takes to record and post these tune for our review and enjoyment. I think I like the redwood a little better but the 0 was a pleasant surprise.

Thanks

Larry

You know I like the sound of these two guitars Russell. I think for accompanying voice the Redwood/walnut would be best but I like the Plane guitar for soloing, slightly better separation, may be the recording. I'd be happy to play either.

Hi Guys thanks its great to get some different prespectives on them.

I agree I think the European Top has a better seperation and a fuller tone.

I prefered the Euro/London plane better my self. It seemed more mellow to me, but both sound great.

Of course I almost exclusively listen to nylon string guitars so maybe the euro guitar just sounds more like a nylon string than the redwood one.
